As usual Carmen leaves the reader wanting more with the fast paced ending to this second installment. Dylan, Faith and Hawk, their nerdy computer friend, set out to find where the Quinn’s are hiding. Dylan finds out that Andre Quinn, not one of the five second pulses, is his biological father. Faith spends some time sharpening her defensive skills to get revenge on Clara, who purposely murdered Faith’s best friend. The romance between Faith and Dylan is ongoing, but they must focus on saving the east and west states from the three other second pulses that use their power of telekinesis for evil. Review 1: In Carman’s second book of the Pulse Trilogy, he continues the excitement.
